I believe women should be free to wear their hair however they want first and foremost. However, when society says that a women’s natural hair is unacceptable, then the choice has already been made. White women are not getting discriminated from jobs for wearing their natural. Not to mention, the psychological toll it takes on someone to be told their natural look is ugly is immeasurable. The chemicals in relaxer can permanently damage a woman’s hair and the cost of weaves can break a bank.
