I love telling Black stories. It’s been a major part of my career, not just in the Portland Metro Area, but all throughout the state of Oregon.
My new interview project, The Blacktastic Adventure, will continue to build on that work. This ongoing exploration of Oregon’s Black diaspora will expose many in the state to compelling characters and stories they had never heard of, as well as give new depth and insight to familiar faces.
The first episode, featuring special guest Donovan Smith, will be airing on Instagram Live (@poinsettebruce) next Wednesday at 6 pm. Future episodes will be available on YouTube, with early access and bonus footage available on Patreon. To support the growth of this project, please become a patron!
